A fundraiser (free will offering) for the Scholarship Fund of the Akron Chapter of the American Guild of Organists, the Choral Festival will showcase choirs from area churches, and will feature Sound Bites (an a cappella quartet), and Suburban Brass Quintet.
Participating church choirs: Holy Trinity Lutheran, Akron; Kent United Methodist, St. Sebastian Parish, Akron; Stow United Methodist; and Trinity United Church of Christ.
The Scholarship Program of the Akron Chapter AGO provides encouragement for further organ study, giving aid to current organ students, and/or piano students wishing to begin organ study. Since 2011, students have received over $2,000 from Akron Chapter AGO towards their organ studies. For more information, visit http://akronago.org/scholarships/
